Oh how I love fall
It's Saturday afternoon and the current temperature is 49 degrees
just in time for this . . .
these were yesterday when the chill was just barely there
Cammie practiced being a doctor at the park
Cal met new friends, of course, and tested out the field before Dad
also this week, Cam and I took the kids to our ballroom dance lesson
so here is how Cammie dressed for the occasion
Cal told her that she'll learn all about non-fiction when she gets to kindergarten
my third batch
guess what our big producer was this year?
and these are making me look forward to October

My super stars
She loves school but she is a little more hesitant to leave mom than Cal ever was/is. Good thing they are making gingerbread men today or there may have been tears.
Guess who got picked to be the first kindergarten super star in his class? Of course, it's our super star Cal. He got to bring in his favorite toys (Bakugans) and book ("When I Was a Boy I Dreamed") and share them with the class. Here are a few of his answers from the poster all about him.
I am 5 years old.
My favorite animal is a dog.
My favorite color is blue.
My favorite food is spagetti.
Monkey Bizness is my favorite place.
When I grow up I want to be a dentist.
(He did tell me later in the week that he wants to be a singer now.)
My favorite thing to do is exercise.
If I had one wish it would be for 2 Transformers in 1 box.
both kids in school = mom gets to blog again (and run)

Our Kindergarten Kid
Oh how I hope you'll be able to break out of your shell
and
make a few new friends . . .
Remember to listen to Mrs. C.
Love the outfit you picked out and don't worry you never have to wear it to church.
Your Star Wars backpack and GI Joe lunch box go great with it.
Cammie and I miss you! Cammie has asked when you are coming home about 100 times. She may have been even sadder than I was to let you go.
Can't wait to see you and love you, Mom

The Letter B Day
We just started having a letter of the day so of course I have to Blog about it. Cammie needs to learn the alphabet better and Cal gets a kick out of counting how many of that particular letter he can find as we drive or shop.
Here were a few of our B things:
Big
We decided that Cal is much too big for this booster. Not a surprise since he is 5 1/2 and most of his friends don't use them but it makes me a little sad. Here are a few pics with the chair and a much smaller Cal.

Bubbles
MOTD = Cammie + bubbles + buckets + sidewalk chalk + pool
Bacon and Blueberries
fancy china too
B-Ball (okay really T-Ball)
Cal is loving T-ball. He starts singing and dancing every now and then but he's Cal, that should be expected.
Blessed
Cam and I went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert at Red Rocks on Monday night. I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful state, to belong to a wonderful church, and to have great in-laws who watched our kids for the night. I talked myself out of bringing my camera but I am sorry I didn't since President Monson was about 130 feet away. The choir was amazing and there is no better concert arena than Red Rocks. Seriously, there were birds chirping during "Danny Boy".
Today is already letter D day,
we're playing with dinosaurs and planning a dance party for when Dad gets home.

Fathers
To Cameron, David (my dad), and Steve (my father-in-law):
Thanks for the countless piggyback rides, games, lightsaber fights, tickles, dances and hugs
and the many more to come.
We are so grateful to have you in our lives.
Thanks for teaching us how to work hard,
to never say "can't", and to have fun!
You are the best of the best.
We love you!

Sunday, June 7th
Sunday afternoon Cal, Cammie, Grandfather, Mere, Cam and Kelly all saw their first (and last would be fine too) funnel cloud. These are from the window in Cal's bedroom so we were looking right across the street.
Grandfather: Yep, that was a piece of cake.
Cal: Speaking of cake, I'm gonna go have a banana.

Love them!
Had to post this for Cam. Eventhough it is on his sister's blog, he would never see it. Link to video of his brother and sis-in-law. Wish they still lived in my neighborhood.

A Three Year Old
"It's a beautiful day!!!"
Thanks Pollocks, we stole your tradition and are calling it ours. The kids love it!
More great MOTD's to come as soon as I get them loaded.
plays in the dirt and sand,
and is in love with her wagon.
Currently answers to the name "wagon girl".
Loves Olivia, princesses, babies, and Little Pet Shops . . .
but also loves to play anything Cal wants her to.
We love you so and are greatful everyday that you are in our family.
Some photos courtesy of Grandfather Photography.
