January 09 in Review- Part 1

One night Cammie woke up screaming about her shoes and that she needed shoes on. These calmed her down. I wonder if any other 2-year olds have nightmares about shoes. We let her wear them for a couple of nights and then broke the habit.

She also continues to revolutionize the fashion world. Her newest item is the gingham scarf (really a curtain tieback). She got many compliments at Costco.

We went as a family to the Super Dogs show at the National Western Stock Show. The kids loved every second. Even Cammie loved it and she has a horrible fear of dogs. I guess they were far enough away. Cal yelled out that this one tall dog was a giraffe and everyone around us cracked up. Choruses of "Let me hear your super dog: woof woof. Let me hear your super dog: bow wow" have been heard in our house daily since then.

I finally got around to taking Cal's 5 year old pics, but I forgot to do his hair. I take his picture every year in this Avalanche sweater to record his growth. Wish I could slow him down or just keep him at 5.

Cammie in my heels. Need to slow her down too.Cammie continues to be my assistant in the kitchen on a daily (maybe even more than that) basis. She has literally spent hours reading her first cookbook that Granny got her for Christmas.
Cal practices guitar a lot with dad and is getting pretty good at it.

Cal continues to learn the ways of the force. I saw this on a blog and had to make it for him. My first real solo sewing project, so it was simple and way far from perfect but he loves it.
