Cal brought home this worksheet from school. I see that the hen is marked "hon" so I ask him what is this picture. He says chicken first and the quickly, "It is Han Solo, Mom". That cracked me up. I am still not sure why it says "Apl" on the top of the page. It usually says "Cal". I was just so happy to see more than just the usual blue scribble on the picture -- see the cat next to Han Solo.

This one's definitely going in the scrapbook. Its Cal's artistic rendering of our family.
We had our friends Tom and Erica over for dinner and The Office trivia. It was really fun. Our kids love their kids so we weren't even interrupted during the game except by these two sweet girls bringing dinner up from the playroom kitchen.
We were also invited to Burns supper with the Steph and John and other Denver area Augers. What is a Burns supper you might ask? It is a very common celebration in Scotland of the life and poetry of Robert Burns. We have so much fun together I am looking forward to our big family vacation in May. I'll never forget Paul's toast to Lassie and how much Cal loved his meatloaf, ahhemm haggis.
