2007 Moments

I thought it would be fun to recount our favorite moments from the past year, especially since we didn't have the blog up yet for most of them. So here they are, in no particular order.

The Beach in San Diego

Cal loved the water and Cammie loved the sand. We went to Coronado. It was really beautiful. It was the first time either of our kids had ever been to a beach.

The Rockies Play-In Game

I got tickets to the Rockies vs the Padres, the play-in game to see who would go to the playoffs. I told Callahan he could go to the game with us if he could say "Troy Tulowitski". It was hilarious. When he got to the plate Cal got so excited every time and screamed "Tu Tulowitski". He was also excited about seeing Matt Holiday, Todd Helton, and Dinger the Dinosaur. Both kids had a blast and danced and cheered the night away. Cam and I had arms that were about ready to give out so we left in the top of the 12th. We did get home in time to see the Rockies win in the bottom of the 14th. Here are some photos of our kids in the Rockies attire that they were able to use a lot this season!

The Polar Express

All of the cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents in Cam's family went on the Polar Express in Heber, UT. Our Cal loves trains, the book, and the movie as much (or probably more than) any little 4-year old boy. He was blown away by the magic of it all. There was hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies and when we got to the North Pole, Santa boarded the train, and gave each child a bell. We caroled all the way back to the station and Cal even let out a big "Ho, Ho, Ho" on the microphone.

Cammie's 1st Birthday Cake

As long as I live I will never forget that you shouldn't give ice cream cake to a one-year old. She cried so hard because her hands were frozen but kept eating because it was so good!

Primary Talent Show

Callahan was bitten by the High School Musical bug a long time ago. We sing the songs daily. He even calls me Gabriella and makes me call him Troy. He decided that the two of us would sing "Livin' in My Own World" at our church's children's group talent show. He is such a little rock star. For a week he wouldn't practice with me so I was totally nervous. When it was our turn he stepped up to the mike and started belting it out. He is such a showman.

No snow is safe

I discovered this snow monster on our deck behind the house about a week ago. No snow is safe around our house. Snow on the car, snow on the tile, dirty snow, (hopefully not yellow snow!) - all seems to disappear quickly with Cal around.

I think it was as cold as he looks.

Notice how much snow has been "removed" since the first pic. This was about the time I asked him to come into the house, "Just one more bite mom" was his reply as he scooped a handful off our chair. He is too funny!

First Post

Well, it took us a while but we have finally entered into this crazy world. Who knew that all our friends blog. This should make it easier to send photos to the family and friends who live far away.
